Make no mistake; the food of Lebanon is both Mediterranean and Arabic. It is also very healthy and delicious. When I was young, I thought parsley was used only as a garnish. Parsley salad was a surprise, yet so good and fresh-tasting. I ate Lebanese food in the Middle-East and it was the same as in North America, Australia or Europe; the point being, that it is very distinct and definite. One can take a little of each dish and create a platter, eating it with flat bread on the side. Another way is to simply take some meat and sides and roll it up in the bread.

Don't be shy with the garlic sauce. Whichever way you try it, I'm sure you will enjoy this meal.
