In the early 90's, I spent several weeks in different parts of Eastern Europe. I visited historical sites dating back 1,000 years or more, all very interesting and cultural.. I was invited to many different homes where I enjoyed wonderful hospitality and food. I was shown how to make Russian Salad, Tomato and Dill Salad and Chicken Croquettes. I saw interesting presentations of cold cuts, salads, cooked dishes, smoked salmon and caviar, all on the same table. Russian food is usually mild, but very tasty and certainly delicious. Good food and good times is what this is all about!
